Agnetha Faltskog

Agnetha has more fame due to her role in ABBA and not as a single singer in Sweden. ABBA was one of the biggest pop groups in history in both the commercial and global sense. When she left school at age 15 to pursue a career in music and performing, she was soon singing in Bernt Enghardt's group as well as gaining a following. Enghardt secured her a record contract and she soon reached the high end of the Swedish charts by releasing her debut single. The singer got engaged, and then became married to Bjorn Ulvaeus. They joined "ABBA'. Through the rest of the eight years, the group would become one of the best-performing pop acts in the world which earned many platinum and gold awards around the globe. After ABBA, she released three albums including 'Wrap Your Arms Around Me', 'Eyes of a Woman as well as 'I stand alone'. All with great success in Sweden and grew in popularity across Europe and beyond, but she didn't make it to the top of charts in the U.S. The '80s wound to a close and she entered into an officially-resigned retirement. ABBA music was the inspiration for a jukebox show called Mamma Mia!. The U.K., 'My Coloring Book" was ranked at number eleven. The most recent album A was popular.
